What we do

Harrow School Short Courses help students improve their speaking, listening and pronunciation skills through lessons packed full of activities and projects that are proven to boost English language learning. Typically junior students will study English for 15 hours per week and seniors study for up to 18 hours per week.

All schools offer General English and Activity Courses for students from beginner level, but some specialist courses require higher levels of English.

At Harrow School, students can join at any English level, with themed lessons giving the ability to tailor courses. For 2022, senior students can elect from projects & presentations or English for analysis and debate.

In order to study some specialist courses, students must have a spoken level of English that is Upper Intermediate or higher – B2 on the Common European Framework, 5 plus on IELTS or Cambridge first Certificate level.
